Huawei, a renowned multinational technology company, has made significant strides in the solar industry with its cutting-edge solar inverters. In the Australian market, Huawei solar inverters have gained notable saturation and established a reputation for their advanced technology. Let’s delve into the saturation and reputation of Huawei solar inverters in Australia, while also highlighting their biggest competitors in the market.

Saturation and Popularity in Australia
Huawei has achieved considerable saturation in the Australian solar market with its range of high-performance solar inverters. The company’s commitment to technological advancements, coupled with extensive availability, has contributed to the widespread adoption of Huawei inverters among solar installers and system owners. Huawei solar inverters are readily accessible through various distributors, making them a popular choice for residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar installations.

The popularity of Huawei solar inverters in Australia can be attributed to their outstanding performance and reliability. Developed with a focus on efficiency and advanced features, Huawei inverters offer optimal energy conversion and system management capabilities. This has solidified Huawei’s position as a trusted brand for solar professionals and consumers seeking high-quality solar inverters.

Reputation for Technological Innovation
Huawei has established a strong reputation in the Australian market for its technological innovation in solar inverters. The company leverages its expertise in the telecommunications industry, applying it to develop advanced inverters that optimise energy production and enhance system efficiency. Huawei solar inverters incorporate features like maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and real-time monitoring, allowing for effective energy management and performance tracking.

The reputation of Huawei extends beyond their technical capabilities. The company is known for its commitment to customer service and support. Huawei offers comprehensive technical assistance, training programs, and reliable warranty coverage to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the lifetime of the solar systems. This dedication to customer care further enhances their reputation as a reliable and customer-centric brand in the Australian solar industry.

Biggest Competitors
In the Australian solar inverter market, Huawei faces competition from other reputable brands. Some of Huawei’s biggest competitors include:

  1. SMA Solar Technology:
A leading German brand, SMA Solar Technology is known for its high-quality and efficient solar inverters. SMA solar inverters are recognised for their reliability and advanced features, making them a direct competitor to Huawei.
  2. SolarEdge:
SolarEdge, an Israeli brand, specialises in power optimiser and inverter solutions. Their innovative technology, offering panel-level optimisation, provides healthy competition to Huawei, particularly in terms of system optimisation and performance.
  3. Fronius:
Fronius, an Austrian brand, has earned a strong presence in the Australian market with its reliable and high-quality solar inverters. Known for their advanced technology and exceptional performance, Fronius inverters pose a notable challenge to Huawei.
  4. Sungrow:
Chinese brand Sungrow has gained recognition in Australia for its reliable and cost-effective solar inverters. With their competitive offerings, Sungrow presents an alternative option for those seeking reliable inverters at an affordable price point, competing in the mid-range market segment with Huawei.
  5. ABB:
Globally recognised technology company ABB offers solar inverters that are proven performers in terms of efficiency, reliability, and robust design. ABB inverters present a strong competitive challenge to Huawei, particularly in terms of quality and performance.

These competitors have established a presence in the Australian solar inverter market by delivering reliable, efficient, and innovative products. Whilst we do have the name “QUICK” in our name, we are not THAT quick. We do not just automatically spit out a generic quote in order to generate cheap prospect leads. Each Solar quote has to be custom quoted by a real person, according to your location, roof type, building type, and usage specifications. We don’t have a one-size fit’s all quoting system because we know that it is important to review multiple factors that can only be done by a real person.

It’s “Quick” in the sense that you get to see all 3 quotes at one short meeting, instead of wasting your time meeting with 3 different sales people from 3 companies. You also only need to submit your details once. So it saves you time, which in effect makes it quick for you.

Our service is 100% free to you, the purchaser.
We are paid the same flat referral fee by the solar providers, so our advice to you is honest and unbiased. You don’t pay us anything, you pay the solar company that you choose to proceed with, directly for their solar product. It’s similar to the way that mortgage brokers can get you the best finance option and the bank pays them a referral fee – it’s free for the consumer. The solar isn’t free, but the quotes and advice are.

  • We research and find the best VALUE deals (not always the CHEAPEST). If you buy cheap, you often end up having to buy it twice.

  • Our philosophy is, “What solar deal would I put on my own roof?”

  • The solar companies that quote on the projects for our clients, are able to reduce their costs because they don’t have to come out and pitch their proposals in person to each client. We do that for them and because we are presenting 3 solar proposals in each meeting, we can be more efficient.

  • The solar companies that are quoting, know that they are automatically up against 2 other local solar companies, so it is in their best interest to put their best quote forward (like a tendering process).

  • Solar companies that are quoting customers who are only getting one quote, are less incentivised to be competitive, so the Solar Quick Quotes referral model is the best way for clients to get the best price from local companies for solar packages, including solar panels, inverters and solar battery storage.

We use a number of local solar providers. Some of the solar providers have finance options available. If you are looking for a quote that has a finance option, please let us know via the quote request form.

It is pretty standard for solar companies to require a $1000 deposit (for residential solar) before the order the products. The balance is usually due upon successful completion of the installation. These details will be confirmed with you when we present you with the 3 best solar quotes. There is no payment required from you, the customer, to Solar Quick Quotes. You only pay the solar company directly – the solar company who’s quote you accept and proceed with.

You benefit as the customer, but so do local solar companies. They benefit because they now have a sure way to generate sales without the need to employ sales people who may or may not actually sell a product. They don’t need to pay retainers or provide company cars. It’s simple. They only pay a simple flat-rate fee on the quotes that are successfully converted to sales.

The two (2) main components of both residential and commercial solar are:

  1. The Panels
  2. The Inverter

The performance of each of these is dependant on the other, so it is wise to use equal quality products for both. There are numerous brands with varying performance levels and warranties.

I’m pretty sure you know what solar panels are and what they do, so I’ll jump right to a basic explanation of an inverter.

An inverter is the piece of equipment that is usually mounted to your garage wall. It converts the solar electricity into usable electricity that your household devices can utilise and it also feeds unused electricity that your household doesn’t use, back into the grid.

Prices are always changing and sometimes there is a business that becomes desperate and reduces their pricing lower than everyone else. Experience has shown us that the really desperate and cheap prices are usually cheap for a reason. Do you want to risk purchasing from a desperate business that might not be there in 5 years time to honour the warranty? Do you want to save a little bit of money by installing outdated technology that isn’t as efficient as todays technology? For these reasons and the fact that we are sourcing quotes from independent solar retailers who we cannot enforce price guarantees upon, we do not offer a price guarantee. We will however, help to simplify the process for you so that you are best positioned to get the best of 3 competitive quotes from 3 reputable businesses.

This is a question that we get all the time. Up until recently, batteries were not something that we recommended as a financially viable solution for most people, but we are now just starting to see that change. There are some great solar + battery options available now, but it is still going to more than double the cost of a standard residential solar package. Some of the companies that we have in our system do have finance options available though, so solar batteries are not out of reach for everyone. In most cases, our residential clients choose to initially proceed with standard solar, with the outlook to have a solar battery installed at a later stage when the right pricing and rebates become available.

You will be able to choose which of the 3 quotes you proceed with, so you are choosing the company that you will be paying directly. Your agreement will be with the company you choose. You will not be paying Solar Quick Quotes any payment at all.
